How to get from Naples airport to Sorrento
Naples Airport is named Capodichino. It’s a small, simple-to-move airport and a close international terminal to Sorrento and Amalfi Coast. Capodichino Airport isn’t big, so you will quickly see the bus stops, car rental places, and taxis when you step outside.
The place might remain crowded, but promising signs to guide you are helpful. You won’t need to walk long with heavy bags like sometimes in prominent and busy airports! It is one of the many things I enjoy about being here, and I strongly suggest using Naples to visit the Amalfi Coast.
There are four ways to get from Naples airport to Sorrento: bus, personal car, rental cars, and train+bus.
Naples airport to Sorrento by bus
Taking the bus is a cheap and straightforward way to travel from Naples Airport to Sorrento. The company running this give is called Curreri: When I write this, it costs 10 euros to buy just one ticket. You get your travel paper the same day you enter the first line rule. The trip takes about 75 minutes.
The bus leaves from a car park just outside the terminal where it arrives, and you can see it easily. Official website with info here: Bus is the least expensive way to go to Amalfi Coast, and its maximum is direct by public transport. The road between Naples airport and Sorrento is picturesque: sit on the right side of the bus for the best views!

Many companies are offering this service, and it is worth taking the time to investigate them to make sure the price and service are on par with the care and they have insurance and all licenses in place.
Going from Naples Airport to Sorrento by car rental
If you prefer your car, you can easily rent one from {Naples} Airport and Energy to Sorrento.
The car rental offices are directly outside the arrivals terminal, to your right: the offices are beside each other, and you can select between Avis, Hertz, and Maggiore.
I highly endorse you book a car in development but expect line up nonetheless.
Even in low season, there may be blocks here: get your ticket at the machine, close the door, and wait in the bar beside the workplaces if it looks like it may take a while. It has a lovely patio that makes the wait less annoying!
Getting from Naples Airport to Sorrento by bus + train
Unfortunately, there’s no direct train from {Naples} Capodichino {airport} to {Sorrento}. But the excellent network of trains between the airport and Naples station makes it a great choice, along with decent trains that go from {Naples} up to {Sorrento}. The start of your trip will be to go from the airport to Napoli Centrale.
You can use Alibus, the transport service between Capodichino and Naples. One Alibus ticket is 4 dollars; the journey takes 15-20 minutes. The official schedule can remain found here. You can ride the trains when you get to Napoli Central train station.
Two types of trains go from Naples to Sorrento: Circumvesuviana and Campania Express. The Circumvesuviana is the best choice for saving money. It’s the train for people who travel to work, and it leaves from the bottom level of the big train station.
Finding and using Circumvesuviana is simple. But it’s a local train, so if you are visiting Italy for the first time, it might be pretty lively.
